I was fortunate to get a quality education in Northern Wyoming, which included many college level courses in high school that went towards my BS degree in engineering from the University of Wyoming. Many years later I thought I would pursue becoming a CPA and received my second BS degree in accountancy through an online college education. I believe quality education is paramount to being a successful individual in business and society in general. My work career includes over 45 years of management experience, including senior level Corporate and Public Administration positions. I have also successfully built and developed several small businesses and been a small business owner for over 32 years. My wife, Debbie, and I have lived in Montrose for over 24 years, and love this community. Over that time, I have chaired many local organizations such as the Montrose Area Merchants Association, Montrose Citizens for Funding Our Future (passed two sales tax measures in 2007), County Planning Commission, and Montrose Business Association. While getting my second college degree, I realized that I have always enjoyed reading, learning, and becoming more knowledgeable. I attribute that desire to always be learning to my excellent education and for that reason am volunteering my financial, organizational, and business expertise to help establish Montrose Classical Academy.
